Free software, no really it's free PDF Print E-mail

For many computer users the software that makes your computer work and the tools you use to complete tasks, checking email, editing documents, etc is propriety software. This means it generally needs to be paid for by you and you do not have any right to edit or redistribute it. This is where Free Software steps in and says no, it should be open and free. • The freedom to study how the programme works and adapt it to your needs.
  • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help others.
  • The freedom to improve the programme and release your improvements to the public, so that everyone benefits.
